Dog training without training aids
www.sitmeanssit.com It’s good to practice sometimes with your dog with no training aids at all. No leash, no collars, no cookies and to do it around distraction. This will give you a better feel of where your training is at the moment. Things are never perfect, and there is always room for improvement.

Teach your dog to stop on their way back.
www.sitmeanssit.com Teaching your dog to stop at any time is very important to the safety of an off leash dog. A dog learning to stop while in motion, or from motion is the single most important command in my opinion. I am not speaking of having him already stopped, and you leaving him (‘stay’ command) but being able to stop at any point while he is moving and out away from you.
