Teach your dog to stop on their way back.

www.sitmeanssit.com Teaching your dog to stop at any time is very important to the safety of an off leash dog. A dog learning to stop while in motion, or from motion is the single most important command in my opinion. I am not speaking of having him already stopped, and you leaving him (‘stay’ command) but being able to stop at any point while he is moving and out away from you.
